Privacy Policy — Kettvane

Kettvane is an interval timer for Android. This policy describes, completely, what the app does with information. The short version: nothing leaves your phone, because the app has no way to send it anywhere.

We collect nothing

Kettvane does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no third-party SDK of any kind.

The app cannot reach the internet

Kettvane declares no Android permissions whatsoever — including no INTERNET permission. Without it the operating system refuses to open a network connection for the app. This is not a promise about our intentions; it is a restriction Android enforces on the app. You can verify it yourself: the app's entry in Google Play lists no permissions, and Android Settings → Apps → Kettvane → Permissions shows an empty list.

What is stored, and where

The app stores only what you create in it:

• the intervals you build or edit (name, durations, rounds, sets)
• one setting: whether the audio cues are on

This is written to Kettvane's private storage area on your device, readable only by the app itself. Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are both disabled in the app's manifest, so this data is not copied to your Google account and is not carried across when you set up a new phone.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes all of it permanently. There is no copy anywhere else and no way for anyone — including us — to recover it.

Children

Kettvane collects no data from anyone, of any age. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases and no links out of the app.

Permissions

None. The app requests no runtime permissions and declares no install-time permissions.

A permission named com.kettvane.intervals.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION appears in the app's merged manifest. It is generated automatically by Google's own AndroidX libraries, is declared by the app for its own use only (protectionLevel="signature"), and exists to stop other apps from sending messages to Kettvane's internal receivers. It grants no capability and gives access to nothing on your device.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Kettvane ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be described in the Play Store release notes.
